Look for Leopold Designs at The Handmade Market, May4th!!!
Seriously, one of the top 2 markets in the area. It’s always a place you want to attend or sell at. It’s run by a LOVELY group of local crafty ladies, it’s a comfortable environment, well-chosen merchandise, in a cool historic building, and always has a great DJ.
Also………It’s a perfect chance to find something wonderful for MOTHERS DAY!! (Mothers Day is May 12th.)
Just a few photos from our snapshots and my friend’s iphone pics from the audience… It was an incredible night.
I can’t thank enough… my models -Jenn, Anna, Jennifer, Mollyann, Megan, Lindsay, Sarah, Reut, Nancy, Emily, & Robin – (I’ll link to them in a separate post soon), my dear friend Kristen of Mood Swing, Melissa Solis of Head 2 Toe, Megan Matheny of Posh The Salon in Durham, the entire Redress Raleigh team…. there are more….
I’m still zooming and totally tuckered out… I will post many more photos and info SOON!
I’m SO excited!! Oh…And still working my derriere off styling/how to dress my models in the sarongs (wrapping/tying), and also still making new pieces for the Marketplace that’s on Sunday!
Tonight at midnight is the last time to buy your tickets for the Conference during the day Saturday and/or the Fashion Show Saturday night.

NOT TO MISS:
HUGE thank you’s and kudos to the super cool chick that’s made the jewelry for the runway tomorrow!!!
Mood Swing is Kristen Randall. She’s a Raleigh artist that does the most amazing work. I’d call her style a bit bohemian, but with a vintage touch, using natural materials, crystals, and found objects such as vintage jewelry pieces & buttons, clock keys, & fabric trimmings.
Keep an eye out for these beauties on my models and on me & Kristen tomorrow night!!
Today was the day My Carolina Today aired their interview with me in my studio!!
The show is on the Raleigh NBC tv station at 11am on weekdays.
I’m really happy with how the interview turned out!!
So, I’ve had these for 10 days now, but I’ve been sitting on them so as not to give away what you’ll see at the Redress Raleigh Eco-Fashion Show!
But I can’t hold ALL of them in…. here’s a peek at the cool-as-all-get-out photo shoot by Leigh Moose of Side Yard Studios!!
One of the models that day is Rachel Stroud. She was TRULY mesmerizing to watch move and move with the fabrics out in the breeze.
I’ll show them all of to ya after this weekend!!
Don’t forget to come by the Redress Marketplace on Sunday, 10-3.
There are some SERIOUSLY wonderful vendors (in addition to Leopold Designs, of course!) that should appeal to anyone and everyone!!
It’s free and open to the public from 10-3 THIS Sunday, at the Raleigh Marriott City Center (same location as the fashion show Saturday night!).
500 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh.
There’s a HUGE parking garage attached to the hotel, by the way. Yes, they charge, but I’d rather do that than drive another 30 minutes around finding a spot on the street. 🙂
Redress Raleigh Eco-fashion & Textile Conference AND Eco-fashion Show is this weekend!
We did the rehearsal for the fashion show yesterday, and the runway is BIG! And my models were awesome!
The jewelry made for the line by Mood Swing looks gorgeous, and is really a perfect compliment to the look!!!
Get your tickets ASAP!!!
After ooh-ing and aah-ing over the featured designers (such as Leopold Designs, maybe, even?) come by the Redress Marketplace the next day, March 24th…. again at the Raleigh Marriott City Center Ballroom!
Hours of the Marketplace is 10-3. Free and open to the public!!
In addition to the Redress designers, there will also be several other area artists and designers! See you there!
Pictured here is Leigh Moose’s assistant and coordinator Meredith Reed. We all had to load scarves up over our shoulders at some point during the shoot!! 🙂 The silk was flyin’!!
This was the first photoshoot I’ve ever had, and it was such fun with Side Yard Studios!!!
Come see my collection at Redress Raleigh’s 5th Annual Eco-Fashion Show on March 23rd, and THEN, come to the Marketplace on the 24th!!!
